I'm going to make a confession: I can't remember the last time I watched one of those daytime TV talk shows. I couldn't even tell you if Maury Povich, Jenny Jones and Sally Jesse Raphael are still on the air. But in the 1990s, I knew. And I knew because of girls like Candy Cantaloupes.
For me, when I think of the headlining mega-breasted stars of the 1990s, I think of girls like Tiffany Towers, Pandora Peaks, Lisa Chest, LuLu Devine, Toppsy Curvey and, of course, Candy. And I think of SCORE. And then I think of those daytime TV talk shows, whose writers were constantly coming up with new ways to get one or more mega-busters on their show. Usually, it was something along the lines of, "DON'T HATE ME BECAUSE I HAVE HUGE BOOBS!" The girls would come out to a mixture of boos (mostly from jealous women) and applause (mostly from hopeful men) and always lots of oohs and aahs, and for one hour, TV was the ultimate in voyeur vision.
Candy was on all of those shows in the 1990s (plus an appearance on Howard Stern's radio show), and she was also one of the first mega-busters to headline as a feature dancer. Her career as a model and dancer (and talk show guest) didn't last long, but she definitely made an impact. She was the covergirl of the June '94 issue of SCORE and one of our most-popular models ever. Pretty good for a girl who started dancing and modeling at age 19 and nearly didn't make it through her first audition at a club in Phoenix, Arizona (near Tempe, where was born).
"When I auditioned, I was too scared to take my hands off my boobs," she told us. Before she super-sized her chest, "I still had braces on. I was so innocent. I had no idea what topless dancing was, or strip clubs. I never swore or anything."
Before long, she was taking her hands off her boobs and spreading her legs and headlining at clubs like Flashdancers and New York Dolls and fucking in several videos and even having sex with Rachel Rocketts in Bosom Buddies #5. But her time in the spotlight didn't last long. By the mid-1990s, Candy had quit dancing and modeling and enrolled in a college in New York to study biology. This is how quickly it happened: On December 31, 1995, she was a dancer. On January 1, 1996, she was living a new life. Where is she now? I couldn't tell you (and, incredibly, neither could Elliot James, who knows everything about big-boobed girls). Candy is one of those girls who had her time in the spotlight and moved on. But for me, her big boobs and big hair epitomize what the '90s were all about. That and a lot of time spent watching bad TV. But very good videos, like this one.
